Barcelona will back back at Montjuic in the Olympic Stadium next season as the club aim to finish redevelopment work at the Camp Nou and install a new roof.
The Catalans have spent time in the stadium over the last few seasons and will start the 2027-28 campaign at Montjuic, according to ESPN.
The report adds that Barcelona may end up playing the first half of the season away from Camp Nou as they are not scheduled to return to their famous home until January 2028.
The capacity is set to be increased
to around 95,000 when Barcelona do move back in and will then finally reach 105,000 when the redevelopment work is finally completed.
Barcelona will be hoping that the work is completed on time, particularly as there were delays in the initial redevelopment work which ultimately saw the team spend more time at Montjuic than originally planned.
Camp Nou has already been confirmed as the venue for the 2029 Champions League final, with Joan Laporta also hoping the 2030 World Cup final can be played at Barcelona’s home.
