There was good, there was bad, and there was ugly in the Texas Longhorns’ first win of the 2025 season, outlasting an underwhelmed San Jose State team 38-7.
Despite the No. 1 preseason
ranking, the Longhorns have some growing pains to work out as they continue non-conference play this week against UTEP.
This week’s survey asks our voters to check in on how they’re feeling about this team after struggling at times against the winless Spartans. Better? The same? Or worse.
We also ask for your prediction, with the Horns being a 41.5-point favorite over the Miners. Texas is 0-2 against the spread this season but is 1-0 ATS when favored by 40+ points (-44 vs ULM in 2024).
