Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the team. The deal will pay him $27.7 million for the 2026-27 season. The 14-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Warriors. He entered free agency this summer, deferring a new agreement to allow space for Golden State to pursue other free agents, notably LeBron James, who ended up signing with the Philadelphia 76ers instead. Last year Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 27.5 minutes per game over 68 appearances with the Warriors. He shot 41.8% from the field and 32.6% from the three-point arc. Green was also named to the All-NBA Defensive first team in 2024-25, the ninth appointment to an All-Defensive team in his career.
