Good morning, BBN!
It is game day for the Kentucky Wildcats as they travel down I-64 for a date with the Louisville Cardinals at the KFC! Yum Center.
An earlier date than normal for the annual basketball
matchup, it also comes on the same season that both teams rank inside the top-15 for the first time over the last several matchups. Meaning it should be a wild one in Louisville tonight.
Looking at the game overall, this one seems like it will be decided by two things. Can the Cats’ frontcourt outplay the Cards’ rotation? Can UK slow down Mikel Brown?
Do both of those things, and Kentucky has a great shot of winning. Split those, and it gets significantly dicier. Do neither, and it could make for a long night in the Ville.
Despite the earlier date for this year’s game, the rivalry between both fan bases seems to be fully back under Mark Pope and Pat Kelsey, as this is seen as one of the biggest matchups since the days of John Calipari and Rick Pitino.
Time to go get this win.
Go Cats, and L’s down!
