Arman Tsarukyan has once again made headlines for the wrong reason earlier tonight (Sat., May 16, 2026) at “Rousey vs. Carano” LIVE on Netflix from inside the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, Calif., as the UFC lightweight contender jumped the gate from the crowd to confront a fighter going backstage.
The issue arose following the last fight on the YouTube “Prelims.” Welterweight fighter, Namo Fazil, captured a submission win over Jake Babian and was awarded with microphone time during his post-fight interview.
Fazil proceeded to call out Tsarukyan and claimed the two fighters “need to talk.”
Tsarukyan, who was in attendance to witness Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) debut on Netflix, confronted Fazil on his way back from the cage. The two exchanged some words before they were held back. Tsarukyan even tried to climb the barrier from the crowd before being stopped. The UFC lightweight eventually made his way backstage and tried to confront Fazil again. There were too many people in the way so luckily nothing escalated.
Check out the footage below:
Tsarukyan, who is ranked No. 2 in UFC’s stacked lightweight division, has been staying busy for better or worse over the past six months. His last victory over Dan Hooker came all the way back in Nov. 2025 as Tsarukyan has been unable to book his UFC return ever since. Saturday’s incident probably isn’t the type of behavior UFC matchmakers want to see from Tsarukyan, especially with a potential title shot looming.
