The Jets might have lost in Week 3 to the Detroit Lions, but fans took real positives from the game.
That statement is true if you believe our latest SB Nation Reacts poll. Fan confidence in the teamfell to 48 percent a week ago in the aftermath of the Jets’ crushing Week 2 overtime loss to the Packers. Week 3 also saw a heartbreaking loss. Fans came away feeling better, though. This is likely a combination of the 14 point fourth quarter comeback that saw the Jets tie the game and the loss coming
to a higher quality opponent.
This is likely the largest single week increase a team has had after a loss in the history of these surveys, but I can’t saw it is unjustified. In Week 2 the Jets lost a game they should have won. In Week 3 they stood toe to toe on the road against a really good opponent.
What will happen in Week 4, and how will it impact next week’s survey? Stay tuned.
