What is the story about?
Each
practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. In the NFL’s Week 3, the Chiefs will hit the road to play the Miami Dolphins in the noon slate on Sunday.
Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week, courtesy of the team’s official website:

- Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back) did not participate in practice and has still not been on the field for any post-training camp practice. On Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid shared that Simmons is “getting better.”
- Safety Chamarri Conner (Knee) returned to practice as a limited participant; Reid said the staff would “ease him back into the mix” during his podium press conference Wednesday.
- Defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Quad) was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice; it is his first appearance on the injury report this year.
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was a limited participant in practice; his knee is regularly managed with limited practice reps.
- Defensive tackle Chris Jones (Calf) was a limited participant in practice; his knee is regularly managed with limited practice reps.
- Cornerback Mansoor Delane (Shoulder) was a full participant in practice; Reid sounded confident that Delane is full go “right now.”
- Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (PUP) could return after the Week 5 bye; when asked about the second-year player recovering from tearing his ACL on Wednesday, Reid agreed with that timeline.
