The Miami Hurricanes played a really good game this past Saturday dispatching Syracuse 38-10 to keep their playoff hopes alive. Miami will still need help to gain either an at-large selection, or even
more help to get the ACC title game. The only thing they can control is winning the next 3 games to give themselves a chance to go 10-2 in back-to-back seasons. The rest of the state is a mess, with Florida and FSU struggling to even make bowl games.
1.Miami Hurricanes (7-2, 3-2) – It took Miami about 25 minutes of the 1st half to snap out of an offensive funk in route to a 38-10 win over Syracuse. The offense finally ran a couple of trick plays including Carson Beck catching a touchdown pass from Malachi Toney. The Canes will need some style points as they try to move up in the college football playoff rankings.
Next Game vs North Carolina St
2. USF (7-2, 4-1) – The Bulls bounced back from their 1st conference loss by blowing out UTSA 55-23. Byrum Brown went 14-15 for 239 yards and 2 TDs in the victory. The Bulls got help as Memphis also loss which put them back in position to make the college football playoffs as the Group of 5 representative.
Next Game @ Navy
Normally at this point of the article, we would continue to rank the remainder of the state of Florida, but the remainder of the state is a disaster, which is a shame. Florida and Florida St have becoming laughing stocks around college football and no longer matter nationally at all. Florida at least has decided to make a move at head coach. Florida St looks completely lost and doesn’t seem to have a direction to move forward and get back to the top of the ACC. FIU and FAU both need to win 2 more games to become bowl eligible and have successful seasons.
3. UCF (4-5, 1-5) Next Game @ Texas Tech
4. FIU (4-5, 2-3) Next Game Liberty
5. FAU (4-5, 3-3) Next Game @ Tulane
6. Florida (3-6, 2-4) Next Game @ Ole Miss
7. FSU (4-5, 1-5) Next Game Virginia Tech
