The Golden State Warriors finally return home after a two-week road trip as they get set to take on the Portland Trail Blazers Friday night. The game tips off at 7:00 PM PT in San Francisco and can be
watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors were shorthanded during Wednesday’s second night of a back-to-back against the Miami Heat. They played without their core trio of Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler in a game that ultimately resulted in a 110-96 defeat. Despite the loss, head coach Steve Kerr said he was proud of the team’s effort to close out a grueling road trip.
What to watch for tonight:
Golden State returns to the Chase Center to begin a five-game homestand. Home court has treated the Warriors well so far as they remain undefeated at the Chase Center this season (5-0), a stark contrast to their 4-8 mark on the road. They’ll also be getting back their stars for tonight’s matchup against the Blazers with the exception of Jonathan Kuminga, who will miss his fifth straight game due to a knee injury.
Golden State will face a Portland team that sits at 6-9 on the season and enters tonight’s game on a four-game losing streak. A bounce-back win here would be well-timed, especially with the schedule easing up — including two days off before Monday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz.
