NC State has released a depth chart well ahead of its Week 2 game against Virginia, and I can’t say I agree with this—now Virginia knows we’re gonna put players on the field!
There are no surprises, though some spots remain unsettled. At right guard, Kamen Smith OR Val Erickson OR Yousef Mugharbil may start. Interesting that Mugharbil has been able to work himself into the mix. At right corner, it could be Jamel Johnson or Brian Nelson.
And the staff has not made a decision about who will handle the placekicking
against the Cavaliers. Normally I’d be fine giving a guy a second chance, but considering how badly Nick Konieczynski missed those two fourth quarter kicks, I feel like State’s got to make the move to Kanoah Vinesett.
On the injury front, Dave said today that Noah Rogers has been “fully cleared” to return this week, which is excellent news.
