Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović did not make the German men’s national team call-ups in September as the youngster worked his way back to full fitness. But the 21-year-old has a good understanding with his national team — and former club — head coach, Julian Nagelsmann.
“Julian and I get along very well; he’s a super nice, cool, and funny guy,” Pavlović shared in recent comments captured by @iMiaSanMia. “It’s always a lot of fun to talk to him, to speak with him, and to take his advice.
“I think many people don’t know this, but I completed my first professional training session at FC Bayern under him. He helped promote me. That’s why I’ve had a bond with him ever since.”
Pavlović broke into the senior team in 2023/24, under Thomas Tuchel, when a run of injuries gave the youngster his chance in the midfield pivot and he seized it. But it was under Nagelsmann that the then 18-year-old began working his way up to full promotion.
