Manchester City head to Wales in an attempt to secure a place in the League Cup quarter final as they take on Swansea at the Swansea.com Stadium. City will field many changes from the team that lost at Aston Villa on Sunday, but the Blues will still be favourites to progress to the last eight.
Swansea are mid-table in the Championship, having won, drawn and lost four of their first twelve matches this season. In the League Cup, they needed penalties to get past Plymouth in August, then beat Nottingham
Forest in the last round to set up the meeting with City.
The Blues have won seven of their last eight visits to Swansea and will be confident of progressing. However, they will need to be aware of the Swans, who usually push City all the way whenever they face each other.
As usual, our team are here to give us their views and predictions on the match. Here’s what we think this week.

Can City score a goal without Erling Haaland?
Against Swansea, surely. In fact, I expect a few
Swansea 1-4 Manchester City
Thomas
Not the result City could have used at the weekend, but it’s off to Wales for the League Cup. Swansea are mired in the middle of the pack in the Championship. I expect a good look at some of the younger lads in this one. Could be a good spot to get Marmoush and Cherki some run. City advances.
Swansea 0-4 City

Not exactly an ideal result on Sunday, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. City usually take a result like that out on the next opponents, which is bad news for Swansea, but this time, I think City will take it easy. Unless Pep fills the team with players who want to make an impression and stake a claim for the first team, in which case, it’ll be bad news for Swansea.
Swansea 0-3 City
What happened against Villa
Erm…yeah we lost, let’s quickly move on from that and say no one got a spot in result. Well, Saul went for 1-0 but for City. In fairness, he got the score right but the wrong result, but he did get the right number of goals and the correct goal difference, so he gets a nice four points. For the rest of us…must do better!!!!!
