Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re wishing everyone who graduated from Mizzou a salutations and best of luck in the next phase of life!
According to KOMU, Mizzou honored over 6,000 graduates this past weekend, including a number of our favorite student athletes (and several past and present Rock M contributors). I’ve got graduation on the brain as well, as my wife just wrapped up her master’s program this past weekend. It’s a special time and the culmination of a lot of hard work, so be sure to congratulate the graduate in your
life. And maybe leave them alone for a bit. They might need some alone time.
Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+
After spending one season at Pepperdine to start his collegiate career, Stansberry spent the last two seasons at Western Carolina. This past season he was a major contributor with the Catamounts — starting in 29 of 30 games and averaging 14.1 points per game. He had a season-high 29 points vs UNC Asheville on November 29th.
Our basketball guys will have more on the commitment (and already do over at Rock M+), but sufficed to say, this one came a bit out of nowhere!
As of week seven, Mizzou is ranked No. 85 on the men’s side and No. 42 on the women’s side. With that in mind, the women’s squad appears to have a better chance of moving forward, but standout athletes for the men, such as Elijah Limo, Sam Innes, Lasse Funck and Drew Rogers, could help change that for the Tigers.
Take us into summer on a high note, Tigers!
- Over at Rock M+, Matt Harris already has a pretty full scouting report of the newest Tiger, Cord Stansberry. What else would you expect from the Matts? Plus, our Portal forum has been revived after the latest addition.
