2025 Performance
During the 2025 campaign the Frogs went 6-5-1 against the spread and closed the regular season on a two-game winning streak ATS,
covering as short favorites in wins over Houston & Cincinnati. The Horned Frogs only played as underdogs twice during the 2025 season, losing at Arizona State and at BYU; in each the home team was favored by three points. TCU lost outright twice this season as favorites, getting upset at Kansas State and vs. Iowa State. As TCU games have an even split on the Over/Under, going 6-6 against the point total this season. Despite its dynamic offense putting up impressive yardage totals, TCU has struggled to translate that effort into points on the scoreboard, scoring below 25 points five times this season. However the TCU defense has held strong, keeping opponents below that 25-point threshold eight times in 2025.
Just like TCU, USC was also favored in all but two games this season and also just like the Frogs, the Trojans dropped both of those, losing at Notre Dame & Oregon. The other loss on the Trojans ledger in 2025: falling 34-32 as a 6.5-point favorite at Illinois. USC struggled against the spread this season, failing to cover in seven games. Lincoln Riley’s squad returned to its prolific offensive roots, scoring over 25 points in 10 games, but this season the Trojans brought a defense to the party. USC games have only gone over this 60.5 Alamo Bowl point total five times, two of which are blowout victories over Missouri State and Georgia Southern.
