Barcelona have a host of players currently away on international duty and will be hoping they all return fit and healthy next week after the current round of games are completed.
Yet the Catalans already have a few concerns. Lamine Yamal looked to be suffering from pain his back during Spain’s win over Thursday and was taken off in the 78th minute.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the injury is not serious and Yamal is expected to continue with Spain. However, Barcelona will be keeping their fingers crossed that the teenager does not aggravate the problem.
Frenkie de Jong is another player the Catalans will be keeping tabs on. The Dutch midfielder was also substituted in midweek and Ronald Koeman said afterwards it was due to minor discomfort.
“Frenkie told us he felt tightness in his glute, so we didn’t take any risks,” he told reporters afterwards.
Marca say that Barcelona are monitoring his progress and will be keeping their fingers crossed he is OK, particularly after losing Alejandro Balde to injury this week.
