Michael Pirotton heads into this weekend’s heavyweight main event against Johnny Fisher
largely as an unknown to fans, but insists his lack of notoriety doesn’t make him incapable. And while Fisher will be the one getting the backing from the ringside fans and observers, Pirotton tells Sky Sports that he hopes to use the ambiguity to his advantage while also being at peace knowing all the pressure will be on his opponent to perform.“Nobody knows about me. That’s my only advantage,” he continued.
“I know I’m supposed to lose. In the scenario I’m supposed to lose that fight. He’s going to come full of confidence with his people and I know he’s training hard. I have to be ready for whatever he brings. I’m going to be ready. I’m ready.”
Pirotton goes on to say his journey to this point has been tough, and while he isn’t going into this fight bragging and boasting about his ability, he’s looking forward to celebrating his vindication immediately afterwards.
Firmly believing Fisher doesn’t have what it takes to knock him out, he’ll be the one brimming with confidence inside the ring, and being that confident is going to allow Pirotton to feel free enough to unleash all of his own power.
