FanDuel Odds & Thoughts
San Diego State/North Texas: San Diego State +4.5, O/U 55.5
- FanDuel thinks this is going to be a close game that likely comes down to the final minutes. Can the Aztec offense keep up?
The Aztecs were one play away from hosting the Mountain West Championship game, but an overtime loss to New Mexico in the season finale left them home on championship week. However, the Aztecs got a solid bowl draw as they will face off against the runner-up for the American conference in North Texas. The Aztecs will be relying on their rushing attack to help them come away with the victory. All-conference running back Lucky Sutton will lead the way for San Diego State.
It will be interesting to see what North Texas’ roster will look like with their head coach taking the job at Oklahoma State. Will any of their players be joining him? If North Texas has its full roster, the Aztecs will have their hands full trying to stop one of the most prolific passing attacks in the nation.
This feels like one of those games where both teams strengths will determine the winner. North Texas has a great passing attack and San Diego State has a great secondary.
