The USA Basketball Women’s National Team formally began preparing for it’s next cycle of major international competitions, which begins with the 2026 FIBA Word Cup in Berlin and extends through the 2028
Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
To being this process, USA Basketball invited 17 players to a training camp at Duke University, giving managing director Sue Bird and head coach Kara Lawson an up-close evaluation opportunity. Swish Appeal’s photographer, Christina Merrion, also made the trip to Durham, and here’s what she saw.
