It has been a wild few days in terms of news breaking around Michael Olise’s alleged interest in making a move to Real Madrid.
However, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia) put out his take on why the Bavarians are not overly concerned about the recent reporting on the topic:
Bayern remain relaxed despite the recent report by L’Équipe. Internally, the club’s stance has been discussed again today and fully approved by all decision-makers, including Uli Hoeneß – Michael Olise
is not for sale. The club also believe they cannot be pressured.
Bayern are fully aware that Real Madrid could become an option for Olise one day. But as things stand, Bayern are planning with Olise 100%. Contract until 2029 has no exit-options.
All doors remain closed at this stage. Bayern want to extend Olise’s contract and are prepared to make him one of the club’s top three earners with Musiala and Kane.
Bayern are still relying on two key factors:
1 – Florentino Pérez has personally assured Bayern that Real Madrid are not pursuing Olise this summer and have no intention of making a move now. Bayern trust Pérez 100%, based on the exceptional relationship between the two clubs.
2 – The messages Bayern received directly from Olise and his representative during the World Cup – they have no intention of leaving and want to stay.
As of today, neither Olise nor his representative have informed Bayern of any desire to leave this summer.
As stated in the Weekend Warm-up, if Olise wants this all to go away, all he has to os say the word (literally).
