Barcelona are reportedly pretty angry with Robert Lewandowski after seeing the striker sidelined through injury and set to miss some crucial fixtures, including El Clasico.
Lewandowski has returned from
international duty with Poland and been diganosed with a muscle tear, with the latest reports suggesting he will miss around four weeks.
A new report from Marca claims that Barcelona are really frustrated with the situation and feel that Lewandowski could have handled things much better.
The striker apparently felt some discomfort in the first half of Poland’s game, in the same muscle he had injured earlier this season, but did not ask to be replaced.
A bandage was applied at half-time and Lewandowski soldiered on and ended up playing the entire 90 minutes, scoring Poland’s second goal just after the hour to secure an important victory.
The feeling at Barcelona seems to be that a player of Lewandowski’s experience should have listened to his body and asked to be substituted.
Lewandowski did speak about his fitness after the match, insisting he felt OK, but subsequent tests showed he had indeed picked up a problem.
