Football:
It’s separation week as we inch closer to game week following Florida State’s second scrimmage. Mike Norvell said that Ashton Daniels did a really good job in understanding where to go with the football but there’s still room to grow with consistency and mixing and matching personnel.
Congratulations to Eric Luallen; the voice of FSU Baseball has officially become the PA voice of FSU Football:
Bruce Feldman ranked the top 101 freaks in college football and Micahi Danzy came in at No. 12.
Danzy, who came in at about 185 pounds on his 6-1 frame in 2024, is now around 200 pounds. This summer, he cleaned 335 pounds. Danzy’s also one of the top sprinters in college sports as an elite 400-meter man. At the ACC outdoor track championship meet last year, Danzy ran the 400 in 44.38, setting an ACC and FSU record. Danzy, who made first-team All-ACC in track as a freshman, was the national leader going into the NCAA track and field championships and ninth in the world. Danzy hits a 23 mph on Catapult, and Noles coaches point out that he does it in football situations, not speed work. He’s really strong too.
It will be interesting to see the new ways in which FSU tries to feature Duce Robinson vertically this fall; it’s something that they have to take advantage of considering how good he is at it:
Speaking of Duce he’s basically the runaway favorite for his teammates to call if there’s an emergency situation; I hope his phone has good battery life:
It’s not likely that this will affect FSU’s game against SMU on September 7th but it something to keep an eye on:
Recruiting:
2028 DL Prince Che has a busy schedule this fall; including being at FSU for the SMU game:
The rising junior is going to be one of the most sought after defensive lineman in the country so it’s good if FSU can get him on campus multiple times.
All Sports:
It’s game week for FSU Soccer as this trio and the rest of the Seminoles get the season started against Stetson this Thursday:
