By now, you probably know that Kentucky Basketball assistant coach Cody Fueger loves tweeting out some version of a ‘boom’ gif or video when the Wildcats land a big commitment.

Boy, did that happen Saturday, as Kentucky was able to secure a pledge from Furman guard Alex Wilkins, who is ranked as high as 27th overall in the 2026 transfer portal class by On3.

Ironically, he’s also ranked three spots ahead of Collin Chandler, whose starting spot will now go to Wilkins following

Chandler’s departure to BYU.

Once the Wilkins commitment was made, Fueger used the perfect video to celebrate the news: A shot of Tubby Smith screaming ’BOOM’ at Rupp Arena.
