Happy Masters Sunday Husky fans. The Dawgs are in the middle of spring practice and that means a lot of their top targets both locally and in the region are making their way to campus to check out practice. This weekend the coaches had a couple of their top targets at a couple of positions on campus:
3 star offensive lineman Benjamin Lowther from Centennial HS, AZ was in town to check out the Huskies. Lowther, who is one of the top targets at offensive tackle for the Huskies, recently narrowed his
recruitment down to a top 4 of ASU, AZ, Stanford, and UW. Listed at 6’7” and around 335 pounds Lowther is a massive player who has the size needed to be a very good offensive tackle at the next level. 247sports has rated him as the 44th best offensive tackle in the country and the Huskies are doing very well with him. He will be on campus for an official visit on June 5th and I would not be surprised to see him end up as a Husky.
Local 4 star defensive lineman Tevita Nonu from O’Dea HS has been a frequent visitor at spring practice for the Huskies. Nonu, who is the top ranked in-state player in the 2027 class, is very interested in UW but has also scheduled official visits to AZ, and UCLA. The Huskies would love to add Nonu and pair him up with current 4 star commit Jon Ioane. Nonu is listed at 6’4” and around 290 pounds. His official UW visit is set for June 5th and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him end up in the Huskies class at some point this spring.
From the 2028 class the top in-state player Tytan McNeal from Easteside Catholic made his way to campus as well to check out the Huskies practice. McNeal who is rated as the top TE in the 2028 class by most recruiting services. Listed at 6’5” and around 210 pounds, McNeal has elite athleticism that has caught the attention of most major programs around the country. The Huskies will have to put in a ton of work to keep him in-state and getting him on campus as many times as possible will be critical for the program.
That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp for recruiting news.
