Joao Cancelo is set to link back up with Al-Hilal this week as the Saudi Pro League club continue pre-season preparations in Austria.
The defender has been enjoying some time off after World Cup 2026 but is due back on Wednesday, according to the latest from Arriyadiyah.
Barcelona are still hoping to complete a permanent deal for Cancelo, following another successful loan stint last season, but are yet to reach an agreement with Al-Hilal.
The report adds that Al-Hilal are open to offers to buy out Cancelo’s
contract which still has a year left to run.
Cancelo is also keen to move on and has made no secret of his affection for Barcelona. He arrived back at Barcelona for a second stint last winter and went on to play 23 matches, scoring twice and adding three assists.
The Portugal international forced his way into Hansi Flick’s starting XI in the second half of the season and will be hoping an agreement can be reached this summer for him to continue with the club.
