CBS Sports | Mike Axisa: The Yankees suffered another hit when they had to place pitcher Max Fried on the injured list on Monday. Between Carlos Rodón returning and other aspects of the team stepping up, here’s how the Yankees will have to do to withstand the injury to Fried.
MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: That being said, the Yankees are fairly optimistic that Fried will only miss the minimum amount of time with his current injury. The MRIs that Fried underwent came back good and he’s already resumed throwing.
“We just kind of collectively decided it’s probably best to make sure we get this calmed down and hopefully keep it a smaller issue,” Aaron Boone said.
