Follow along while we bring you updates provided by teams – and the network – as players get medical attention, are ruled out, or – hopefully – return to play.
Should the Bills have injuries that alter their lineup, it might be helpful to know who is available as the next man up. To do that, here’s a look at who is in uniform today and who is sitting this 2026 season opener out.
The Bills have Non-Football Injury list and Tryrell Shavers on Physically
Unable to Perform as he rehabs from an ACL tear he suffered in the AFC Wildcard game. Phidairan Mathis is on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list until September 28 and not eligible to play before Week 4.
As for the Texans, here’s a look at their inactives for today.
In addition to their inactives, the Texans have Kayden McDonald, Tank Dell, Jayden Higgins, Sam Hagen, Braden Smith, Solomon Byrd, Ali Gaye, M.J. Stewart, E.J. Speed, Ja’Marcus Ingram, Dylan Horton, K.C. Cossai, and Graham Mertz on Injured Reserve.

BUFFALO BILLS INJURIES
S Cole Bisop – left knee, probable to return
Bishop went down in a pile of blue. Trainers had to come to the field before the Buffalo safety was on his feet and limping to the sideline. A trip to the blue medical tent followed, and then Bishop was seen looking to be working some stiffness out on the sideline. He missed the rest of the defensive series, but good news came from the Bills’ PR team.
