All the Smoke, hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, delves into the NBA from the point-of-view of two outspoken former NBA players. Both won a championship alongside generational superstars.
Stephen Jackson was part of the Spurs 2003 title with Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili. Matt Barnes was a member of the Warriors when Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were building Golden State’s dynasty.
Both Jackson and Barnes are known for their controversial
views and frank commentary.
Last May, they released this video montage featuring Danny Green and a separate interview with LaMarcus Aldridge. In both they discuss the fallout with Kawhi Leonard.
Known for their evasiveness as it pertains to the media, it should come as no surprise that the Spurs don’t share what is considered personal to specific players.
Both Green and Aldridge shared how tightlipped the team was about Leonard’s situation.
It is oddly reassuring that the Spurs consistent behind closed doors and treat team members with confidentiality on multiple levels.
Stephen Jackson likens his exit form the Spurs to Leonard’s. Shows that the Spurs position hasn’t altered in quite some time.
