– Rookie quarterback
Jalon Daniels, in just his second career start, completed 19-of-25 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown, earning a 110.2 passer rating and picking up his first career win. He became just the third undrafted rookie quarterback since 1950 to win in primetime in either their first or second career start joining Devlin Hodges (110/13/19) and Tom Greene (9/17/60), and just the fifth undrafted rookie quarterback in the common draft era to do so in any start. He became just the ninth undrafted rookie quarterback to lead his team to 400+ total yards of offense in a game and the first since Tommy DeVito (12/11/23). He is also the first undrafted rookie quarterback to ever defeat the Dallas Cowboys.
– On the offense’s opening possession, Daniels led the Buccaneers on a 15-play, 73-yard drive that took 10:58 off the clock. It marks the Buccaneers’ longest drive by elapsed time since 11/4/07 vs. Arizona (11:59) and marks the team’s longest scoring drive since Pro Football Reference data is available dating back to 2001. Per team records, the touchdown drive was the second-longest scoring drive in team history, trailing only a 10:59 drive vs. New Orleans on 9/18/94. The team’s eight first downs on the opening drive matched its most on a single drive since at least 2001.

Daniels is 1-of-2 undrafted rookie quarterbacks since 1991 – and the first since 2013 – to earn a 100.0% completion percentage in a single quarter, while completing seven-or-more passes (also Matt McGloin, third quarter, 12/15/13 vs. Kansas City). He is the only undrafted rookie quarterback since 1967 to complete his first eight passes of a game.

It marked the first time in Irving’s career that he has had a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in a single game. His 175 yards from scrimmage marked the third-most of his career. Irving’s 72-yard run on the day is the longest of his NFL career.
– Thursday’s game marked Irving’s fourth career 100-yard rushing performance and also helped him surpass the 2,000-yard rushing milestone for his career. He is the 13th player in franchise history to reach 2,000 career rushing yards for Tampa Bay. Irving reached 2,000 career rushing yards in his 32nd career NFL game, tying Warrick Dunn for the fourth-fewest games to reach that milestone in franchise history, trailing only Doug Martin (25), Cadillac Williams (29) and Errict Rhett (29).

Tampa Bay’s 6.2 yards per rush attempt on Thursday set a new season high and secured the team’s highest average in a single game since its 7.9 yards per rush on 10/13/24 at New Orleans. It’s also the fourth-highest average in team history among games in which Tampa Bay rushed 35+ times.
