Lamine Yamal added another assist to his international collection on Thursday night as Spain beat Bulgaria 3-0 in World Cup qualifying.
The Barcelona teenager now has 16 goals and assists in just 22 games for the Spain national team. It’s an impressive record and one that is already being compared to other big names in the game.
In fact a quick look at social media shows how Yamal now has a better G/A record at international level than Real Madrid and Brazil star Vinicius Jr.
The forward only has 13
goal contributions for the Selecao from 41 games.
Yamal has a chance to add to that tally on Sunday when Spain return to action in World Cup qualifying against Türkiye.
The teenager is thought to be struggling with a back injury but is still expected to play at the moment and has started the season in good form. He also has two goals and two assists from three La Liga games for Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Luis de la Fuente’s side have been in unstoppable form recently. Spain’s win on Thursday means La Roja have not lost any of their last 21 matches (W16 D5).
