Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books and Week 2 is upon us. After a high-scoring opening weekend, there are plenty of questions waiting to be answered. The biggest matchups include the Bills hosting the Lions, the Bengals traveling to Houston to face the Texans, and the Jaguars traveling to Mile High to face the Broncos. Monday Night Football features the Los Angeles Rams (0-1) hosting the New York Giants (1-0) at SoFi Stadium.
Three of the biggest disappointments from Week 1 were the Los Angeles
Rams, Los Angeles Chargers and Green Bay Packers, while the Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants emerged as some of the biggest surprises.
After going 10-6 with my Week 1 picks, I’m looking to build on that start as we dive into another exciting slate of NFL action.

Week 2 Picks:
Detroit Lions @ Buffalo Bills — Thurs., 8:15 p.m. ET
Both teams scored 30+ points in Week 1 and the same could happen again in Week 2 as both teams are still trying to find their defenses.
My Pick: Bills 37-30
Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
If the Panthers can bottle up Bijan Robinson, then they should be able to go into Atlanta and secure a Week 2 road win.
My Pick: Panthers 29-24
Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
How Brian Flores gameplans for Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson will be interesting. I will take the hot hand though of Ben Johnson.
My Pick: Bears 30-21
Philadelphia Eagles @ Tennessee Titans — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Eagles snuck out of Week 1 with a win over the hapless Commanders. Jalen Hurts is still a one dimensional quarterback. They get an easy road game in Tennessee.
My Pick: Eagles 34-17
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Patriots have had 10 days off to get ready for the Steelers and should be able to come up with solution with AJ Brown’s absence.
My Pick: Patriots 20-17
Green Bay Packers @ New York Jets — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Packers blew a pretty important Week 1 divisional game. Week 2 features an east coast contest against Aaron Glenn’s Jets.
My Pick: Packers 30-20
Cleveland Browns @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Baker Mayfield revenge game? Baker Mayfield bounce back game? Mayfield earned a huge payday and then turned in a dud in Week 1; fumbling the ball three times.
My Pick: Buccaneers 28-17
New Orleans Saints @ Baltimore Ravens — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Tyler Shough is showing signs of improvement and growth in year two. But the combination of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry is going to be too much for the Saints to handle outside of their dome.
My Pick: Ravens 41-20
Cincinnati Bengals @ Houston Texans — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Texans get another elite quarterback early – who came up with their schedule? I have to believe that Demeco Ryans buttons up Burrow who is less mobile/twitchy than Josh Allen.
My Pick: Texans 23-17
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos — Sun., 4:05 p.m. ET
Trevor Lawrence vs. Bo Nix. Jacksonville will have an extra day to prepare but they will also have to fly across the country. I like Denver at home in afternoon game.
My Pick: Broncos 23-16
Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers — Sun., 4:05 p.m. ET
The Chargers were one of the biggest disappointments in Week 1. Justin Herbert only throwing for 209 yards was shocking to say the least. Could Jim Harbaugh’s seat be getting hot?
My Pick: Chargers 28-21
Washington Commanders @ Dallas Cowboys — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
The Commanders battled in Philadelphia but their are some glaring weaknesses. New offensive coordinator, a bad offensive line, and lack of offensive weapons make life for Jayden Daniels difficult. The Cowboys should bounce back in Week 2.
My Pick: Cowboys 31-21
Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
The Seahawks will roll with Drew Lock as Sam Darnold recovers from his hip injury. If the Cardinals can shut down Justin Herbert, there is a chance they can pull off an upset. Mike LaFleur could be able to scheme up enough offense.
My Pick: Cardinals 16-13
Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
Just when you think the 49ers are irrelevant, they find a way to be considered Super Bowl contenders. They have arguably the most NFL experience at key positions: Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner. The 49ers could be a problem all season.
My Pick: 49ers 33-10
Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs — Sun., 8:20 p.m. ET
Patrick Mahomes. Sunday Night Football. Give me the Chiefs.
My Pick: Chiefs 24-20
New York Giants @ Los Angeles Rams — Mon., 8:15 p.m. ET
I am very worried about this game for the Rams. The offense was anemic in Week 1. The offense lacks a complimentary piece to Puka Nacua. The defense is now without Myles Garrett for the next four weeks at minimum. The Giants have a new offensive identity under Harbaugh where they can run the ball with the bruising force of Cam Skattebo. Not to mention Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers are issues in the passing game. The Rams need to be ready to play on Monday Night but I am skeptical…
