Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes are still a couple of days away from their rematch, but they looked octagon-ready at Thursday’s UFC 325 pre-fight press conference.
Saturday’s headliners faced off
following the media event and both decided to go shirtless for the staredown, which you can watch below.
The main event faceoff was cordial as has been the tone for much of the lead-up to Volkanovski and Lopes’ second clash. Volkanovski defeated Lopes at UFC 314 in April to claim a vacant featherweight title and become a two-time champion, and Lopes bounced back with a knockout of Jean Silva in September to set up the rematch.
During the press conference, Volkanovski and Lopes showed each other respect and admiration, and Volkanovski even graced Lopes and the crowd with another rendition of Secondhand Serenade’s Fall For You, just as he did ahead of their first fight.
Thursday’s press conference also featured main card fighters Dan Hooker, Benoit Saint Denis, Rafael Fiziev, Mauricio Ruffy, Tai Tuivasa, and Tallison Teixeira.
