According to a report from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Leon Goretzka’s star-crossed career at Bayern Munich will soon be coming to an end.
An important
player on the roster since he arrive in Bavaria in 2018, it looks like Goretzka will have to move on to continue playing. The report lists Fenerbahçe, Juventus, and Napoli as possible destinations for the Germany international:
Bayern are very unlikely to offer Leon Goretzka a new deal, but as things stand he’s not been told that by the club. The midfielder will not be leaving the club in January, but once his summer departure becomes official, Goretzka will speak to other clubs about a free transfer. Fenerbahçe, Juventus and Napoli are among clubs interested.
Goretzka’s role under Vincent Kompany has varied this season. Sometimes a starter, Goretzka had good showings earlier in the season, but has seen those performances drop over the past month where rumors of his departure from the club have grown.
While the Sport Bild duo does not close the door on an extension, it does make it seem as if Goretzka is in his final months with the club.
