The football schedule is out and Darian Mensah is all over it. First, Duke has the second game against the former quarterback, who is being sued by the university, and second, there is a road game to Miami.
If Mensah plays, Duke will be motivated. If he doesn’t, Miami will be. Either way, it’s an interesting game.
Otherwise, the Blue Devils will play at Illinois, at Virginia, at Virginia and all three North Carolina rivals. UNC will be in Wally Wade while State and Wake Forest will be road games.
We have no idea what to expect next year after Mensah’s shabby departure, but it’s probably going to hurt. That said, Manny Diaz has done a great job so far and his teams have had a sense of daring and bravado. Hopefully, that can continue.
