Departing:
Offense
- RB Keith Adams: Adams is the son of a former Clemson player and was brought in despite few P4 offers. I didn’t like it at the time, but he proved to be a bruising runner who could have been used in short-yardage situations. It did Adams no favors to bring him in and then never use him. His departure doesn’t really impact Clemson on the field because they refused to use him, but it leaves Clemson extremely thin at RB where they must add one to two players.
Defense
- S Khalil Barnes: Barnes was stellar as a freshman, but had two mediocre to poor seasons the last two years. A fresh start is needed and I could see him having a great senior year somewhere else like Georgia.
- LB Dee Crayton: Crayton seldom played, but Clemson had a big impact on him as a person as he was recently baptized. I wish him all the best.
- LB Jamal Anderson: I loved what I saw from Jamal Anderson in Spring Games and felt he could be a hybrid LB/Nickel. It was unfortunate that he never saw the field. Losing two linebackers to the portal plus Woodaz while only bringing in one freshman means they must add some players via the portal.
- NB Shelton Lewis: Lewis left after just four games to use his redshirt.
Trending News:
- S Lyrik Rawls: Rawls played a high snap count at Kansas last season and posted a higher PFF grade than any Clemson safety. He would be an immediate starter.
