Former Liverpool attacker Luis Díaz made an incredible impression in his first season with Bayern Munich.
The Colombian star was a sensation in creating offense for the squad and scoring goals. His ability to both stretch defenses and work in tight spaces filled a void in the Bayern Munich attack.
After helping the team clinch a domestic double with a 3-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal, Díaz took some time to think about his journey at Bayern Munich and his career overall.
“As a kid, you
ask God to grant your dream of becoming a professional footballer, of being one of the best in your country, but you never imagine going this far. We always take things for granted, but sometimes you have to stop and say: ‘I did it’,” Díaz told Toque Sports (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Indeed, Díaz “did it” — and he is not close to being done at Bayern Munich. There seems to be plenty more to come.
