For the first time in four years, the Portland Trail Blazers will enter the 2026-27 NBA season without Jerami Grant in the rotation. Earlier in the summer, the Blazers traded Grant to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard Ja Morant. The veteran was a steady presence in the starting lineup or off the bench. He was also one of the top scorers and three-point shooters on the roster.
Earlier this week we asked Trail Blazers fans across the nation whether Portland would miss Grant this season. The results were
almost exactly split. 49% of respondents said the Blazers would look back with longing at their departed forward. 51% said it was onward and upward without a second thought.
