The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report of the week on Wednesday in advance of their Week 8 game against the Washington Commanders.
Note that this report is an estimation because the team held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice.
The Eagles listed six players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Jihaad Campbell, Britain Covey, and Jonathan Jones.
Barkley is listed with hamstring and back injuries. He was clearly in discomfort while
trying to gut it out and play on Monday night. Perhaps the Eagles are just managing him to try to get him to Sunday. But it seems like he might be in danger of missing the game. We’ll learn more about his outlook on Thursday, when the Eagles will hold their first real practice of the week.
Smitty and Wicks might be in danger missing their second straight game. The Eagles could be without their top two wide receivers once again.
Speaking on Wednesday, Vic Fangio noted that Campbell “came up a little bit lame” during Monday night’s game. If he has to miss time, it’ll be Jeremiah Trotter Jr. starting next to Zack Baun. Trot Jr. had already been eating into Campbell’s playing time anyway.
Covey got banged up on the first play of the game in Week 7. Seems like he might miss some time due to a knee injury. Look for Makai Lemon to return punts.
Jones apparently got hurt on Monday night. If he can’t play, the Eagles will be without their top backup cornerback option on the outside.
The Eagles listed six players under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, Jonathan Greenard, Moro Ojomo, Michael Carter II, and Smael Mondon.
Nolan Smith might be able to return to the field in Week 8 after missing Week 7 due to a concussion. With the Eagles banged up at edge rusher, the team could really use him out there.
Hunt and Greenard clearly played at less than 100% in Week 7 based on their relatively low snap counts. Guessing they might be similarly limited again in Week 8.
Ojomo was previously listed on the report with an abdomen injury. Now he’s listed with a neck injury. Guessing he’ll be able to play this weekend but his snaps might be more limited than usual.
Carter II hasn’t played since getting banged up in Week 5. Prior to getting hurt, he had overtaken Marcus Epps as the safety next to Andrew Mukuba in nickel packages. We’ll see if he reclaims that role or if the Eagles will stick with Kenny Moore II there. (MC2 vs. KM2.)
Mondon is a new addition to the report with a knee injury. If Campbell can’t play, Mondon will be the top backup behind Baun and Trot Jr.
The Eagles listed seven players under FULL PARTICIPATION: Zack Baun, Landon Dickerson, Dallas Goedert, Drew Kendall, Tyler Steen, Arnold Ebiketie, and Jakorian Bennett.
Baun, Dickerson, Goedert, Kendall, Steen, and Ebiketie should all be good to go against the Commanders.
Bennett is still in his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve. We’ll see if the Eagles activate him from IR or not.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)
The Commanders notably placed leading receiver Terry McLaurin on injured reserve. He’s out for the season. Quinyon Mitchell won’t get the chance to erase him like he usually does.
Coming off their bye, Washington was without three players on Wednesday: No. 2 receiver Stefon Diggs, starting defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw, and No. 2 tight end John Bates.
Diggs is listed with hand and hamstring injuries … but it was a rest day for the veteran wideout. He’ll be able to play against Philly.
Kinlaw seems unlikely to play against the Eagles based on Dan Quinn’s comments.
Bates actually leads all Commanders tight ends in snaps this season since Chig Okonkwo previously missed some time. But he’s not much of a receiving threat; he’s mostly utilized as a blocker.
The Commanders listed three players as limited: No. 4 receiver Treylon Burks, rotational edge rusher Charles Omenihu, and rotational defensive tackle Jer’Zhan Newton.
If Burks can play, he’ll be a top three WR option with McLaurin going on IR.
Omenihu has a chance to suit up.
The Commanders opened Newton’s 21-day practice window to return from IR. With Kinlaw potentially out, Newton could help to replace him if he’s ready to play.
Jayden Daniels is playing through the left elbow injury he suffered earlier this season.
