The Washington Commanders released their final injury report for today’s game on Thursday and then made one roster move yesterday. TE Lawrence Cager was elevated from the practice squad for the first time
this season. Depth was thin with Zach Ertz going on IR two weeks ago, and Colson Yankoff ruled out with an ankle injury.
Jayden Daniels is on the inactive list again after reaggravating his left elbow injury vs the Minnesota Vikings. He was limited in practice this week and isn’t cleared for contact. Marcus Mariota gets the start today against his former team.
RB Chris Rodriguez Jr was inactive last week due to a groin injury, but he’s back on the field today. Chase Edmonds was active last week, but isn’t needed with Rodriguez back.
DT Eddie Goldman suffered a concussion vs the Giants, and didn’t practice this week. He’s out today, and his absence in the middle of the defensive line will be felt. Johnny Newton was on the final injury report with an illness, but he’s playing today. DE Drake Jackson was activated from IR two weeks ago, and he’s making his debut today.
LT Laremy Tunsil is missing his first game with Washington after suffering a strined oblique vs the Giants last week. Offensive tackles Trent Scott and George Fant have been inactive for most games this season, but Scott is active today with Tunsil out. Brandon Coleman takes over his old spot at left yackle today.
