The Seattle Seahawks have a lengthy injury report to start their prep for the showdown with the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football with a whopping 18(!!) players listed with some sort of designation. The DNP’s for injury included Charles Cross, Rashid Shaheed, and Uchenna Nwosu. Notable limited participants were Tyrice Knight, Drake Thomas, the newly-returning Jadarian Price, and Leonard Williams who popped up with an Achilles injury…maybe I shouldn’t have used the word “popped” in his case.
Find some wood to knock on if you’re superstitious.
New Seahawks Quenton Nelson was listed as a full participant along with Zach Charbonnet. The hope is that both of them along with potentially Jadarian Price will help take the run game to another level, thus lessening the load on Sam Darnold’s shoulders.
Mike Macdonald seemed relatively positive about Cross, saying that IR wasn’t in consideration at this time. The less time he misses, the more he’ll get to gel with his new partner in crime on the left side in Nelson.
As this is the first injury report of the week, we’ll need to see how things shake out over the next few days to see who is really in danger of missing the primetime game.
