Late last week, Scott Kacsmar on X posted this rather harsh critique of John Elway’s Hall of Fame career with the Denver Broncos. He basically implied that Elway was not a good quarterback outside of the amazing quarterbacking he did to win all those games. I know, an odd way to frame things up.
So Mike Sando dropped some nukes all over Kacsmar here from people who — you know — played the game and played against John Elway.
As a soon to be 48 year old (my how the time has flown), I grew up watching John Elway and knew he could carry a team to any heights except a championship. You put him on the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980s and I am absolutely convinced he and Tom Brady are sharing the same number of rings. I was glad to see someone stand up and let Kacsmar know just how wildly off base his take was in relation to reality.
