Bayern Munich’s midfield and right-back dynamo Konrad Laimer had another fantastic outing in the 5-0 victory against Vfb Stuttgart on the weekend. With his current contract running till 2027, Konny is due
for an extension in Munich. The player for his part remains calm and prefers talking through his football.
In an interview with Sport1 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Laimer answered questions regarding a potential extension with Bayern. “I’m relaxed. I’m trying to focus on football. Other people will be talking about that and will be in charge of that. The best advertising you can do is always to play good football,” said Laimer as replied nonchalantly to the speculative question.
Extending Laimer should be a no-brainer for the Bavarian brass. He is easily one of the most indispensable players on the squad. His tenacity, work ethic and energy are a big part of Vincent Kompany and Bayern’s style of football in Munich. Not to forget, his versatility to play in the midfield or as a full back who can run all the way to the opponent’s goal and track back to his own. Laimer has not only stabilized the right flank of Bayern but along with Michael Olise has taken it to the next level. And to top it all off, he is a zero drama player who is loud on the pitch but prefers to be quiet on the mic.
