Anthony Gordon has sent a direct message to Barcelona fans after completing a transfer to the club from Newcastle United.
The winger has taken to social media to tell culers that the move is a “dream come true”
“Hello Culers. I’m very happy and proud to be here. It’s a dream come true. It’s not everyday you sign for a club like this. I’m going to work very hard and help the team to win many trophies,” he posted on Instagram.
“I know the responsibility it involves to play for Barcelona and I’m very excited
and ready for this challenge. I’m very excited to meet my teammates and coach and start this new chapter here. I want to thank Rafa Yuste and Joan Laporta, Deco and all the people within the club for this opportunity and all the trust they have put into me.
“Also, I want to thank the fans for the love and support, I’m so excited to play for you all. Visca el Barca y Visca Catalunya.”
Fans will have to wait until after the World Cup to see Gordon in Blaugrana for the first time, with the winger now set to head to the USA with England.
