WWE gave a heavy push to the narrative of dissension in the ranks of The Bloodline on Tuesday (August 18).
The company posted footage on its official X (Twitter) account of Jacob Fatu walking away from Roman Reigns following the conclusion of Monday’s episode of Raw.
Earlier in the night, Jacob accompanied Reigns to the ring for what served as Raw’s main event segment. Because Solo Sikoa lost the previous week to Jey Uso, he was set to fulfill the stipulation of re-joining The Bloodline. Jey and Jimmy
Uso were on hand to present Solo to Roman, but when Sikoa was ordered to hit LA Knight with a Samoan Spike, he instead delivered the hit to Reigns’ throat.
Knight and Sikoa then proceeded to get the better of the Usos and Reigns in an ensuing brawl. Meanwhile, Jacob stood watching in the corner after Roman had told him not to get involved. Now after seeing The Samoan Werewolf stand idly by while his Tribal Chief and the Usos were beat down, WWE wanted us to then see Fatu return to the back on his own.
“What does this mean for The Bloodline?” WWE’s social media team wrote at the caption for the X post, which saw the Usos and Reigns looking upset as Fatu departed the ring.
There was another sign of possible trouble prior to the in-ring fisticuffs involving Sikoa and Knight. Reigns had presented the Usos with black Ula Falas seemingly meant to signify their newfound captaincy of The Bloodline. All the while, Fatu watched on with a hurt expression on his face.
Of course, Fatu’s alliance with this version of The Bloodline has always been an uneasy one. He was first brought into WWE as a member of the Sikoa-led Bloodline in direct opposition of Reigns. He only joined the faction a couple of months ago after losing to Reigns at Clash in Italy in a match in which Fatu challenged Reigns for both the World Heavyweight Championship and for the title of Tribal Chief.
On the following Raw, Fatu did make good on the deal and acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief. Even still, given Jacob’s entertainingly unpredictable nature, his falling-in-line always felt tenuous, and many fans have clamored for him to break free from his family members in The Bloodline.
Now it seems a separation could soon be on the way.
What do you think, Cagesiders? Will Jacob leave The Bloodline in the near future? What would you like to see next from him if he does? Let us know in the comments.
