Barcelona fans worldwide are dreaming of watching the Spanish contingent in North America lif the World Cup 2026 trophy to crown Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Co. as the best national team on Earth.
La Roja enter the tournament as the main favorites, but Yamal’s fitness remains a big talking point as the teenage superstar is racing against time to recover from a hamstring injury. Lamine’s status for the opener against Cape Verde is still up in the air, and we still don’t know if — and when — he’ll be back
to 100%.
Spain should be able to negotiate a group with Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay fairly comfortably even without Yamal, but his absence would certainly be felt in the knockout stages.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Spain at the World Cup: Can Spain be crowned world champions under Luis de la Fuente if Lamine Yamal has limited involvement?
