Julian Alvarez is reportedly set to switch agents
after missing out on a move from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.There has been talk that Alvarez will employ Javier Pastore as his new representative but the latest update suggests he’s actually going to go elsewhere.
A new report from Mundo Deportivo claims that Alvarez will actually sign with Pablo Barquero, who just happens to represent Barcelona star Rodri.
Alvarez and his family have reportedly decided that Barquero
is the best option out there and a deal should be formally signed shortly.
Barquero had a busy summer and helped engineer Rodri’s transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona after World Cup 2026.
Barca remain Alvarez’s dream transfer but it’s not clear at all if the Catalans will reignite their interest in the Argentina international.
Sporting Director Deco has said Alvarez is in the past but the forward remains keen to move on from Diego Simeone’s side.
