Rumors for the Day:
- PW Insider mentioned there is a shirt for sale at the official Wrestlepalooza store in Indianapolis that promotes a 3-way match of Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax. A source told WrestleVotes that WWE’s plan is to book that women’s championship match on Saturday’s PLE, but it depends on whether or not Stratton is cleared to compete.
- In his weekly guest column on Uncrowned, Scott D’Amore said “there are rumors WWE will hold only one WrestleMania night in Saudi and hold the other in the U.S.”
- D’Amore confirmed that Brock Lesnar “was in talks with TNA back in 2007.”
- According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is running a double taping of SmackDown on Nov. 21 in Denver. The idea is to give talent and production crew off on Black Friday (Nov. 28), the day after Thanksgiving.
- The outlet also heard that WWE might schedule another AAA streaming event on the weekend of Survivor Series (Nov. 29) in San Diego. On a related note, WWE is planning for Rey Mysterio to play a major role in AAA once he’s ready to return to the ring.
- Insider says Wade Barrett is “listed internally” for WWE’s commentary team at Wrestlepalooza, following his recent time off.
- The Takedown on SI was told that wrestling fans should expect to see Joe Hendry featured “more prominently on NXT” than TNA programming going forward.
