AAA continues to put together a nice little show on Saturday nights. The latest episode (Jan. 31, 2026) featured a fight for love to be Mr. Iguana’s partner, Hijo del Vikingo using Omos to send a violent message to Mini Vikingo, TJP earning a title shot, the first Rey de Reyes qualifier, and more taped from Mexico City.
It looks like the love triangle between Mr. Iguana, La Hiedra, and Lola Vice is down to two. Mr. Iguana has a shot lined up for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship held by Ethan
Page and Chelsea Green, but he had to pick his partner. On one hand, La Hiedra was his former partner and old flame, but she dumped him when they lost the gold. On the other hand, Lola is kind-hearted and vibing with him. A match was arranged for Hiedra versus Lola to determine Iguana’s partner, and he was the special guest referee.
Lola didn’t hesitate to flirt with Iguana in the ring.
Where’s Booker T when you need him?
I wouldn’t say the fix was in for Lola, however, Rey Mysterio and JBL agreed on commentary that Iguana was counting her pins a touch quicker. Hiedra was angry that Iguana ejected the cheating Toxicas. She also crossed the line by threatening to toss La Yesca out of the ring.
That led to the sequence of Hiedra rolling up Lola and grabbing the tights. Iguana saw the cheating tactic and stopped short of counting three. When Hiedra argued, Lola rolled her up and grabbed the tights. Iguana took a position unable to see the cheating and awarded the win to Lola. The crowd chanted for a kiss, so she planted one on his cheek. Backstage, the champs were observing the contest. Ethan and Chelsea need to plan for next week’s title defense.
El Ojo opened the show with Hijo del Vikingo, Dorian Roldan, and Omos. Roldan took credit for taking AAA to new heights with great wrestlers, and this current faction is the best AAA has known. Vikingo taunted the fans for supporting El Grande Americano. Only ignorant and stupid people support that fake Mexican. He squished him like a cockroach to become #1 contender for the AAA Mega Championship. Since the fans turned their backs on Vikingo, he will turn his back on them. Vikingo will win the title for himself at the Rey de Reyes event in Puebla.
Dominik Mysterio answered on the big screen to congratulate Vikingo. Dirty Dom is going to humiliate Vikingo in his own house.
That wasn’t the only business on Vikingo’s mind. He also made a statement to his copycat. Mini Vikingo thrilled the fans once again in the four-way against TJ Perkins, Chris Carter, and Elio Lefleur. This match was high-octane action. Hijo del Vikingo took notice of Mini Vikingo using his moves.
TJP was victorious in the end. Mini Vikingo landed a 630 senton on Carter, then TJP crashed on the pinning pile with a mamba splash. TJP tossed Mini Vikingo out, and he covered Carter for the win. TJP earns a title shot for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Laredo Kid.
After the match, El Ojo came down to the ring. TJP didn’t stick around, but he is no dummy. TJP got the hint to roll Mini Vikingo into the ring for Omos to powerbomb. Hijo del Vikingo threatened Mini Vikingo to stop using his moves and his name. Omos added a second powerbomb for good measure.
The Rey de Reyes tournament is underway with Jack Cartwheel, Aerostar, La Parka, and Apollo Crews in the TV main event. The winner advances to the final on March 14. Each wrestler had their highlight reel moments, but this was La Parka’s show. He had one rapid-fire sequence of a Michinoku Driver on Apollo, an overhead suplex to Cartwheel into the buckles, a suicide dive to Apollo, then a frog splash on Cartwheel. For the finish, Aerostar was in control after a rolling cutter to Apollo. Aerostar set up for a diving attack, however, La Parka swooped in for a Spanish Fly. La Parka pinned Aerostar off the Thriller maneuver.
On the news front, Santos Escobar finally spoke about returning to AAA. In the past, Santos thought he needed control and validation. He left that old self behind. Now, Santos let go of ego, doubt, and expectations. He knows exactly who is he. Santos is not his destiny. He is the hands of destiny.
The War Raiders are coming to AAA television in two weeks.
The full episode is available for free on WWE (video in English), WWE Español, and AAA YouTube channels outside Mexico and Latin America.
