What is the story about?
In one of their toughest losses of the season, the Mariners have dropped below .500 and out of first place in the AL West with their 6-5 loss to the Cleveland Guardians yesterday. A solid start by Emerson Hancock was quickly undone after a five-run eighth inning by the Guardians erased the Mariners’ three-run lead.
The Mariners will need to put another difficult road trip behind them as they began a new homestand tonight against the Los Angeles Angels, with George Kirby on the mound for the 6:40 PM
start.
