Good morning everyone!
The end of the regular season is fast approaching as the team has just 17 games to go. The Ams have started their series with the Red Sox with a loss last night but still have five games left against the playoff hopeful. Boston would be a Wild Card if the season were to end today, and they seem likely to maintain a hold on a postseason spot. The A’s won’t lie down and make it easy for them beforehand though.
The Athletics’ first season in Sacramento has been a disappointment.
At just 66-79 the club has made strides in its rebuild but still has a ways to go before getting to where the Red Sox are. It wasn’t a straightforward season for Boston by any means after trading their best player, but they were able to adapt on the fly and look like a better team. The A’s should be taking notes on the Red Sox if they want to be in their position next year.
Game two is just hours away as the series continues tonight. Have a great morning A’s fans.
