The Chargers got a little bit healthier on their second injury report of Week One.
Veteran edge rusher Khalil Mack returned from his rest day and was a full participant. Second-year safety R.J. Mickens improved from a limited participant to full on Thursday. That leaves the Chargers now with a fully healthy safety group.
Cornerback Deane Leonard was once again a DNP for the second consecutive day. If he ends up missing this week’s game, the Chargers will be without one of their top special teams players
and it’s likely second-year corner Nikko Reed will be one of their game day elevations.
Running back Keaton Mitchell, wide receiver Brenen Thompson, and edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu were all listed as limited participants once again. If I had to guess, all three will be good to go come Sunday, but right now the team is choosing to take a cautious approach ahead of the regular season opener.
